I was born and raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I attended West Bloomfield Public Schools K-12. In December, 2014, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. I graduated a semester early and obtained a teaching job at a local preschool. This is where I found my passion for teaching.
The following fall I enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education (MATEE) program at Oakland University. I student taught at Roosevelt Elementary School in the West Bloomfield School District. Upon completion of student teaching, I accepted a long-term guest teaching position in a kindergarten classroom also at Roosevelt Elementary School. I am currently obtaining an early childhood endorsement (ZS) through Grand Valley University's Master of Education in Instruction and Curriculum with an Emphasis in Early Childhood Education-ZS program. I now teach kindergarten at Gretchko Elementary School , which is also part of the West Bloomfield School District.
I am truly happiest when I am in the classroom with young children. Each day I wake up knowing the impact I have on our young leaders. I cannot wait to continue my teaching journey.
